Definition and Applications of Blockboard Hot Presses

A blockboard hot press is a piece of equipment used for manufacturing engineered wood products such as blockboard, plywood, and particleboard. This machinery is applicable to fields such as furniture manufacturing and wooden door production, where it is utilized for the hot-press bonding of board components and the lamination of surface materials.

The primary types of particleboard hot presses include multi-opening hot presses (comprising both standard presses and simultaneous-closing presses), single-opening presses, and continuous hot presses. The steam-injection hot press represents a specific technology designed to reduce hot-pressing cycle times by injecting high-temperature, high-pressure steam directly into the board mat.

Blockboard hot presses are specifically designed for the hot-press bonding of furniture panels, architectural partitions, wooden doors, and fire-rated doors, as well as for the lamination of their surface materials. They are primarily utilized by furniture manufacturers, wooden door factories, and facilities engaged in the secondary processing and surface lamination of engineered wood products. Based on their mode of operation, blockboard hot presses can be broadly categorized into batch-type and continuous-type systems; among these, the batch-type multi-opening hot press is the most commonly used variety within the domestic market.
