Classification And Structure Of Blockboard Hot Presses

Based on their mode of operation, blockboard hot presses are broadly classified into two categories: intermittent (batch) and continuous. These machines consist of three main components: the hot press body, the control and drive system, and the heating system.

Intermittent hot presses are predominantly multi-daylight (multi-layer) machines, which can be further subdivided into standard presses and simultaneous-closing presses. Compared to standard presses, simultaneous-closing presses are more effective at mitigating the issue of premature curing within the adhesive layers; notably, all particleboard production equipment imported into my country from West Germany consisted of simultaneous-closing presses.

Single-daylight presses feature a large platen area and a simple structure; however, they entail relatively higher initial investment costs and are prone to developing internal stresses and deformation over prolonged periods of use, leading to a gradual decline in their application.
